PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The role of the Chartered Surveyor can vary dependent on Client requirements with the following being a brief outline of typical instructions:-
Preparing briefs, obtaining quotations, co-ordinating activities of various contractors up to completion of the project including monitoring works on site, assessing interim payments and issuing contract certificates.
Acting as Employer's representative in monitoring works by Design and Build Contractors including assessing interim payments and issuing contract certificates.
Acting as Tenant's representative to ensure works proposed by a Landlord/others are to the specification agreed.
CONSTRUCTION MONITORING
Acting on behalf of third parties or prospective owners or occupiers, in monitoring a project to ensure quality, cost and programmes are attained.
FEASIBILITY STUDIES
To prepare feasibility advise on potential projects to include, statutory considerations, design options, costs, programme and procurement options.
COST ASSESSMENT
We have the knowledge and experience to provide cost advice for construction projects to include:
Schedules of Dilapidations
Valuing constuction work in progress
Issuing Certificates for Payment of Construction Projects
Remedial works for Building defects
Fire and Insurance Re-instatement
Complient Expert Witness/Dispute Resolution Reports
CONSTRUCTION DESIGN & MANAGEMENT (CDM) REGULATIONS 2007
